David Toussaint Alexander's Counseling Services (DTACS), Inc. was founded in 1999 to provide affordable and effective counseling and psychological services for clients in the Prince George's County, Maryland and surrounding Metropolitan communities. Many of us are coping with fast paced lifestyles; oftentimes we are juggling work, school, caregiver responsibilities, relationships, money, illnesses, trauma, etc. Our hectic lifestyle can lead to serious health complications (i.e. hypertension, heart disease, stroke) and a variety of negative coping mechanisms such as, anger, violence, depression, spousal abuse, substance abuse (drugs and alcohol), anxiety, gambling, etc. Negative coping mechanisms are often triggered by prolonged stress.
