Defiant Teens and Adolescents

Adolescent are impact with multiple emotional, behavioral, and physical challenges in
their lives. They can become self-critical and assume others may be as critical of them
as they are of themselves. As a result of such emotions their social role can become
unclear. Adolescents are inclined to shyness, sensitivity, aggressiveness, and feelings
of rejection to hide their insecurity. If such emotions are not deal with the adolescents my
become disruptive and defiant in home and school environments. A pattern of negative,
hostile, and defiant behaviors lasting at 6 month, during which four or more of the
following are present:

Often losses temper.

Often argues with adults.

Often actively defies or refuses to comply with adults' requests or rules.

Often deliberately annoys people.

Often blames others for his or mistakes.

Is often moody or easily annoyed by others.

Is often angry and resentful.

Is often spiteful or vindictive.


DTACS will assess and provide psychotherapeutic interventions for the above mention
behaviors consisting of but not limited to the following therapeutic interventions:

Cognitive therapy

Behavioral therapy

Family therapy

Neuro- Linguistic interventions.
